About Me
Hello from Karen & Dean. Here's a bit of information about our little company.
Sweet Assumptions was established in 2008. It was started as an online hobby hub to sell different handmade gifts. In 2018 we moved from Georgia to Idaho and suspended activity until we were situated.
In late 2019 we were given Karen's grandmother's postage stamp collection. There were a gazillion stamps. Thinking, of course, that there may be a valuable stamp in there somewhere we started extensive research and sorting. Through our research we were introduced to "you-tuber" Exploring Stamps. In one of his many video's, the host shared the concept of postage stamp art.
In early 2020, with the stay-at home restrictions due to COVID, we started experimenting and waa laa! Through encouragement from family and friends to sell our pieces we re-opened our online shop.
All pieces are one-of-a-kind, handmade, signed art pieces. The difference between our pieces and some we've seen out there, is we try to make the design with stamps that are relevant to the design (example: horse design made with horse stamps). Not always can we do that but we try our best.
We can also personalize a design, so if you see one you like but want it in a different color or something like that, or if you want to order a design that we don't have, let'us know and we'll do what we can to make it for you.
