ᚱ Ridhr kvada rossum vesta, Raghn er sverdit bradesta.
Ridhr, the hurricane, is the worst thing for horses.
But the power of the Gods is a swiftly striking sword!
The ᚱ (Ridhr) rune isn't so simple at first glance. Its "classical" interpretation is horseback riding, travel, and chariot. But that's for the novice, while for the magician, the poem encodes a completely different story: "claps of thunder, lightning - fate comes and there is no escape."
The lightning sword knows no mercy, the hurricane-chariot, in an elemental dance, destroys and strikes. The angry God approaches.
Ridhr is the warrior's rune; it is red, swift, and attacking. The ᛏ (Tyr) rune is its twin brother. Together, they form a ring of warrior power for centuries. He who wears Ridhr is truly a Viking, unafraid! If there's an obstacle - whether mental or physical - this rune will grant the warrior swiftness and lightning-fast speed, sweeping away obstacles on the way to their goal. And God forbid that an ordinary mortal should stand in the way of Ridhr.
The triangular system around the central rune provides unlimited potential for action. It's as if they begin to serve only the center, not hindering it, but helping it move more powerfully and skillfully. Truly, he who wears this amulet is as dangerous as a god!
The stave is made of Oak, a tree that holds a special place in many magical traditions. Oak is often associated with the World Axis, the highest patronage, protection and justice. The strength of its roots and long age have made it a symbol of wisdom and Truth. Oak is used in many magical practices, as it is considered a conductor between Heaven and Earth.
