Welcome to my shop!
I was born and raised in Burgundy, France and moved to Connecticut when I was 22 years (I was in love... Dang! Did I miss my cheeses and my escargots, though!). Being an English major back home and hoping for a career in teaching, I became a high school French and Spanish (and sometimes Latin) teacher after finishing my BA and my Masters degree here. I love teaching and this is a full time job for me, and I will probably never give it up (well, not in a long time at least). However, jewelry making comes near second to my daytime job and gives me the pleasure of doing something radically different and creative in other ways (and it keeps me away from all the dumb shows on TV). You see my parents never encouraged me artistically and I never thought I could be good in that way... Until...

Jewelry making is a passion I came to a few years ago (many years now) when I was looking to entertain my then 8 year daughter and to make myself some pieces to complement my outfits. Little did I know I would become hooked!!! Almost right away, I received compliments from my colleagues and friends and soon requests to make jewelry pieces started to rain on me.The whole art department at my school is a great source of revenue and self esteem as these ladies are my oldest and biggest fans! I begun to build quite a following and decided to transform my hobby into a legit business (and rekindle with math! Now that was not easy getting into the tax thing). And here I am on Etsy!

My favorite thing is to hunt for fun beads (I am a real shopaholic) and then play with combinations of colors and materials in order to match any outfit. People who have encouraged me say I have an unusual flair with color combinations. I love a challenge and I do not like to repeat what I do, so all the items you see on this website are one of a kind (meaning even if you find me on other internet venues, and see the same items, I will remove them as soon as I sell them somewhere). I also try to not imitate other people (Pandora and the likes are cool but they own their style): the teacher in me sees this as plagiarism, plus I like to come up with my own creations because it is fun!
